The emigration history of Hälsingland comes alive in our exhibition that builds on the life of Brita Olsdotter and her journey to America.
The exhibition starts with a typical farm-house kitchen from the middle of the 19th Century.

A collection of clothes made of linen and cotton.

Inside the ship you can see how the emigrants lived in their cabins during the voyage to America that could take up to 5 months.

For those who crave more information, there is a "room of facts" where you can sit in peace and quiet and read different books.
